3rd Women & Sport Carnival 2006

Venue: Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur
 
     
  The Olympic Council of Malaysia’s Women and Sports Committee is organizing a one-day all-women sports carnival.

This carnival is open to all Malaysian women with entry fees only RM5.00 per participant. All participants must form their group at least 5 to 7 people. The closing date is on 30 October 2006.

  Family members are encouraged to attend and cheer on the participants. Participants are expected to form teams to compete in any one or more of the following events:

Group Events

(A) HEXA - Skills

(1) Netball Shooting
(2) Modified Football Shooting
(3) Hockey Shooting
(4) Modified Softball
(5) 5 x 60m Shuttle Relay
(6) Bowling (on grass)

(B) 3-on-3 Netball

(C) 5-A-Side Football

(D) Tug-of-War 5-a-Side (2 categories)
(1) Category 1 (every member below 65kg)
(2) Category 2 (open to all weight)

*** There will be demonstration on Frisbee Sport

The event is open to all females with prizes awarded for the best performing teams for each Group Event. Teams are ranked according to points scored by each member.

Registration
Registration fee is RM5.00 per participant. Payment may be made in the form of cash/money orders/cheques made out to: "Olympic Council of Malaysia". Please submit your registration forms to:

The closing date of all entries is 30 October 2006 (Monday).

General Rules:

  • 1.1 This Sports Carnival is open to female participants only.

  • 1.2 Each team must have 5-7 participants.
  • 1.3 Teams may not have more than 1 State or National athlete who has represented any State in Malaysia or the country, in any national or international event or competition from the year 2000 and thereafter.
  • 1.4 The Organising Committee, whose decision shall be final and conclusive, will determine any matters not provided for in these Rules.
  • 1.5 Each team can take part in the HEXA Skills Events and one event from B, C or D.
  • 1.6 If the teams choose to participate in the HEXA Skills, they have to complete all the skills offered. If the team fails to participate in any of the skill, they will not be considering as a winner but yet they can still continue with other skill.
  • 1.7 For the B, C and D events, team must choose only one because all of the events will kick off at the same time. If the team that scheduled to play for the next games did not turn up, the opponents will be announce as the winner for that particular games.
  • 1.8 For Event D (Tug-of-War), participants must choose between the two categories offered, which are Category 1, for below 65kg and Category 2, open for all.
